A personal pronoun is a pronoun that is associated primarily with a particular person, in the grammatical sense.
- First person, as in “I”
- Second person, as in “you”
- Third person, as in “It, he, she”

- they nemad
Sihitisekääne (keda/mida? kellele/millele?)
- me mind, minule
- you sind, sinule

- you teid, teile
- them neid, neile
Personal pronouns provide us with the following information:
- The person – Who is speaking?
- The number – Is the pronoun plural or singular?
- The gender – Is the pronoun feminine, masculine, or neuter?

Omastavad asesõnad – Possessive Pronouns
Possessive pronouns are those designating possession. They may also be used as substitutes for noun phrases, and they are typically found at the end of a sentence or clause.
There are only two specific rules for using them correctly:
- Like its name suggests, a possessive pronoun indicates ownership.
- Possessive pronouns do not contain apostrophes.

Examples:
- We are going on vacation.
- Don’t tell me that you can’t go with us.
- Anybody who says it won’t be fun has no clue what they are talking about.
- We ran into each other at the mall.
- It is one of the nicest Italian restaurants in town.
- Richard stared at himself in the mirror.
- The laundry isn’t going to do itself.
- I want you to read this book.
- You are the fastest runner on the team, and we’re depending on you.
- They talked to me about acting in the play.
- We enjoyed hearing her sing.
